Swedish Limpa "Rye Style" Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1 pkg. (380g) Mina's Purely Divine Bread Mix
  • 2 Tbsp Butter or Margarine, softened
  • 3 Tbsp Molasses
  • 2¼ tsp (7g) yeast
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 1½ tsp Grated Orange Peel
  • 1 tsp ground Fennel
  • 1 tsp Caraway Seeds, crushed
  • 1¼ cup warm water
  • Caraway Seeds (for topping, optional)

Preparation:

  1. Dissolve yeast and sugar in water in bowl of mixer for 10 minutes.
  2. Add rest of ingredients and mix 3 minutes, scraping down once.
  3. Spray or oil one 8x5 bread pan.
  4. Pour/scrape the bread batter into pan. Smooth top with spatula.
  5. Cover with oiled plastic wrap.
  6. Preheat oven to 375°
  7. Set in draft free area until risen to the top of pan, about 1 to 1½ hours.
  8. Remove plastic wrap and bake for 40 minutes.
